Ande (All Natural, Diverse and Eco-Friendly) Cosmetics has won Rexam’s 4th Annual Formulation Challenge for its Cool It! burn salve. This year’s Challenge marked the 25th anniversary of the packaging giant’s air-powered Airspray fine mist dispenser. Entries were breakthrough, eco-friendly product applications utilizing this earth-friendly dispenser, which operates without propellants. With unprecedented demand for eco-friendly product packaging, this year’s Challenge encouraged new levels of creativity, according to Rexam global foam product manager Casper Kleiman. The Maryland-based Ande Cosmetics was awarded a corporate prize of €10,000 and a personal award of a weekend trip to Holland during tulip time. Entries were evaluated by a panel of industry experts. Ande Cosmetics specializes in all-natural products that promote skin cleansing, balance and toning. Rexam says that the Airspray fine mist dispenser, remains the only dispenser to provide a continuous, fine mist spray without chemicals.
